Contemporary Landscapes
Although primarily a painter of realism the paintings on display here are an emotional response to the Otago landscape rather than visual. Deliberately working from memory, painting with a base of acrylic and layers of oil glazes and gold leaf, each work attempts to capture the feel or essence of the land rather than from the pictorial aspect.
